Guest Hospitality and Tours

ICC 2002 has arranged the following optional tours for spouses and guests:

Spouses and Guests of conference attendees can take advantage of our big city hospitality during the conference in the ICC 2002 Guest Hospitality Suite located in the New York Marriott Marquis. Enjoy light refreshments and rest your weary feet.. Spouses and Guests must show their ICC 2002 name badge for entrance to the Guest Hospitality Room.

Accompanying spouses/guests are invited to join us for the ComSoc 50th Anniversary Reception on Sunday evening 28 April in the hotel. Guest Tickets can be purchased for the Awards Luncheon on Monday 29 April and the ICC 2002 Conference Banquet on Tuesday 30 April. Conference attendees and their guests can also purchase tickets for a Dinner Cruise aboard World Yacht. Additional information can be found in the Social Events section of this program.

Gray Line New York Sightseeing Tours Uptown Loop

9:00 meet in the Guest Hospitality Room
An ICC 2002 Representative will escort you to the tour departure point, a short five-minute walk from the hotel, where you will board a double decker bus for a 10:00 departure to a world of NYC wonders that are certain to enchant both the returning sightseer and those visiting the city for the first time. The tour will travel to some of the most romantic sights in New York and to a world of cultural diversity - from famous museums and churches to the vibrant neighborhoods of Harlem. Stops include Central Park West, Lincoln Center, Dakota Apartments, American Museum of Natural History, Cathedral of St. John the Divine, Grant's Tomb, Apollo Theater, Harlem Market, The Museum Mile, Guggenheim, Metropolitan Museum, Central Park and Fifth Avenue. You can stay aboard the bus and complete the tour in 2 hours or take advantage of unlimited "hop off - hop on" privileges designed to let you explore what you want for as long as you wish.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, is the world's largest cultural complex and is home to 12 world-renowned independent Resident Companies that represent the very best in the performing arts today. This lively tour visits three grand theaters of Lincoln Center: the Metropolitan Opera House, New York State Theater, and Avery Fisher Hall. Informed guides will tell you all about the history, legends, architecture - even some gossip! - and bring you backstage for a more intimate perspective on Lincoln Center.

9:00 meet in the ICC 2002 Guest Hospitality Room
An ICC 2002 representative will escort you to Rockefeller Plaza, a short 10 - 15 minute walk from the hotel. The NBC Studio Tour starts in the BC History Theater, featuring Katie Couric and Matt Lauer of the Today show. Then it's off to the studios where your mind will recreate the scenes and memories of some of the classic programs that once held reign here as the rich and colorful history is recounted. In addition, see how today's popular NBC shows are produced. Tours begin and end in the NBC Experience Store.
